The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of over 177,000 children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities. From its humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes.

In 2009, Abbotts Frozen Custard is proud to partner with the Western and Central New York chapters to raise the necessary dollars for a child’s wish. From April 1st through Labor Day, participating Abbott’s locations will help make wishes come true with every purchase of blue star sprinkles on your cone or dish.*
 
  *5¢ of every Blue Star Sprinkle purchase will be donated to the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® towards a minimum donation of $5,000.

 “TASTE OF ROCHESTER”

 Abbott’s Frozen Custard Downtown location will be one of 75 vendors featured at the City’s “Taste of Rochester” event June 26-28th.

There will be two stages of musical acts, food from some of the city’s finest restaurants, local winery and brewery vendors and a Kid Zone for this fare. Last year, over 100,000 people attended.

Every day, 13WHAM-TV grants happy birthday wished to their viewers. Watch their morning news every Monday- Friday between 5:30-6:30 am and enter to win a free Abbott’s cake. There will be a new winner announced each week from April-September.
